Update Google ChromeThe NSS aims in developing the inner potentialities and transforming the students mentally to fit into the society to which he/she belongs. With the objectives of NSS, it is there to develop multifaceted personality of the student youth so as to gain skills in mobilising community participation, acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitudes, develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters, etc. along with their academics.
The NSS Units of COA, Bhilwara has been fulfilling the objectives of NSS by encouraging and supporting active participation of youth in the process of socially valuable and nation building activities and has also been important in development of personality of the youth.
40 NSS volunteers attended a six day Training Programme on Social Entrepreneurship Development Program held during August, 3-8, 2015, at COA, Bhilwara, organised by Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development.
The NSS volunteers, college students and the staff members planted 337 saplings in the college premises on 24th August 2015. On this occasion they took oath to plant more and more trees, motivate people for plantation for keeping the environment clean and keep healthy ourselves and the society. Dr. M L Jat, Nodel Officer of the college stressed over energy conservation aspects and measures to curb the environmental pollution. He also told the students to take care of the saplings planted during their degree programme. About 95 students and 05 staff members were present in the programme.
The programme was organised in collaboration with the Forest Department, Government of Rajasthan and Rajasthan Patrika, Sr. S.L. Jat, Ex. Minister, Govt. of Rajasthan was the chief guest the occasion. On the occasion of stone laying ceremony on dated 29th August, 2016 Hona’ble Agriculture Minister, GOR Sh Prabhu Lal Ji Sani, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, MPUAT, Udaipur Dr U S Sharma, Hon’ble Chief Whip, GOR Sh Kalu Lal Ji Gujar, M P, Bhilwara Sh Subash Ji Bahedia, M L A, Bhilwara Sh Vithal Shankar Ji Avasthi and M L A, Ashind Sh Ram Lal Ji Gujar planted saplings on the road side of collage .
Staff members of the college, KVK and DFRS as well as students also planted 200 Karanj plants around boundary of the new campus of the college.
The NSS volunteers made 20 dustbins on 08.02.2015 in Suwana village and tried to communicate the message of keeping our environment clean among the villagers. The students used the biodegradable material only in making these dustbins, which were made jointly by about 64 students in 2 hours only. The prepared dustbins were placed in different places in the village thus giving clean environment messages.
Two NSS Special Camp of 7 days were organised during February 5-11, 2015 and February 22-28, 2016 which was attended by 80 and 119 Volunteers respectively. The theme was Save environment, Clean and green city and village, Tobacco free zone (college premises) and Happy & Healthy Youth through YOGA.
Two blood donation camps were organized by the NSS volunteers of this college on 25.09.2015 & 28.02.2016. The camps were organized with the help of MLV Govt. College and Ramsnehi Hospital, Bhilwara. Total 22 units of blood were donated and more than 60 students got tested their blood groups. Lot of enthusiasm and zeal was seen amongst students of the college. It was first instance in which blood was donated by majority of the students.
One day Shramdan camp was organized on 21 March, 2015 by NSS volunteers at Pathliyas village. During Shramdan, NSS volunteers helped in restructuring of roof of houses which was damage due to natural calamities.
